Scope
General Construction
We are proud to announce the successful completion of the first Hungarian store for French luxury jewellery brand Messika. The globally acclaimed brand, renowned for its unique diamond creations, opened its 90-square-metre boutique in the heritage-listed Krausz Palace at 12 Andrássy Avenue, Budapest.
DVM Group's Role: Our team served as general contractor for the project—with the exception of bespoke retail furniture, which was supplied by a specialist provider commissioned directly by the client. The design process was led by the client's own designer (Sana Mazouzi), with detailed construction drawings prepared by MádiLáncos Studio. In addition to reorganising the original floor plan—the space was partitioned from a larger tenancy, the other half of which became the Multibrand store—the mechanical systems and lighting were entirely reconfigured to meet the specific requirements of a fine jewellery environment.
Continuous Change Management and Agile Execution: The project required a design & build approach rather than a conventional construction process: the client's continuously evolving requirements had to be accommodated flexibly, with bespoke technical solutions developed on the fly.
High-Security Glazing and Heritage Environment: A key element of the store's security system is an extremely high-resistance anti-burglary glass portal, produced by only a handful of manufacturers in Europe. Procurement and installation presented a significant logistical challenge. The Krausz Palace's listed heritage status demanded particular care with every intervention—whether replacing façade windows, carrying out internal modifications, or navigating government consultations.
Premium Interior Finishes and Luxury Execution: Our scope also included the flawless installation of unique Turkish book-matched marble flooring, hand-made carpets and exclusive wallpapers, as well as the retrospective installation of a heavy-duty safe into the already completed store. The clean white walls and ceiling reflect the luxury brand's refined identity, further accentuated by distinctive stone-veneered window reveals.
